nothing rhetoric but a little esotheric.

I've always thought-
I don't know about you,
that some birthdays were more important then others.

Like your 16th birthday's more improtant cos it's the SWEET 16
your 18th birthday is more important cos you're allowed to
smoke and drink legally(not that I do)
and your 21st birthday is more important cos that's when your offically an adult...
and etc etc,
you catch my drift.

So I started out this month thinking that my 17th
is just another birthday.
Big whoop.

But I was wrong.

I came to realise on this birthday, that all birthdays are equally important.

Because when I celebrate birthdays, I celebrate it with family and friends.
And it's precisely the family and friends that make birthdays so important.

Every year as I celebrate my birthday, it serves as a reminder of
how blessed I am to have the people around me.
I am reminded that the years spent roaming this rock is not for nothing.

Even if it isn't a bigscale celebration, those birthdays are still important
simply because I never fail to celebrate it with people I hold close.
Once again, cliche, but I mean it.

You know who you are.
